Couldn't agree more regarding self discipline. No amount of tools can help you gain that. Well said.

Great post Sachin, like you I've encounter the same
problems. It is really hard to stay focus on work with so much many
distractions around. In order to overcome these problems you will need the
right tools and resources to help you manage work priorities effectively and
efficiently. But using these tools, it will not boost productivity instantly or
solve the problem totally it is because there is still lacking on us. One thing
you should remember to manage work successfully using these tools is a lot of
self discipline. Self discipline and the right tools and resources are the best
combination to successfully manage your time.
I use this tool to help me manage my time effectively.

Yes. I have realized that "Time Management" is a fancy term which is very popular but doesn't work in your favor as much as you want. What you need to work on is good task management. I have more inclination towards getting end productivity rather than accounting of time spent on it.

It also helped me to identify my tasks and then split them in smaller pieces. This allows me to do them more efficiently and with better planning around them. Many times I used to postpone tasks just because they were too big and I used to procrastinate. Lot more to write here. This was just one of many pieces. :)

I hope you realized that the problem is 'task' management and not 'time' management. I have a post due on just that (and what you've talked about here), but I have to GTD before that sees the light of day! :P
